25 miles over the Pennsylvania rocks and I end up happily in Jail. The old jail that is. It’s now run as a free hostel for hikers. I’ve had a shower (I didn’t drop my soap), some Chinese food and a care package from the local girl scout troop. Wow!

It was a tough walk today with Wings & Feather, Hoplite, and Packrat. Hoplite was a bit tired and sore, so we hung back and talked our way through the rocks. We finally reached the trail head at 7:15pm. Two day-hikers, Glenn & Karen, drove us to town and dropped us off after a nice conversation. Thank you! You really helped us a ton!

The rock scrambles were difficult when dry and dangerous when wet. I have a mild groin pull from a slip on the rocks. Hoplite strained a quad a bit. We’ll see how he’s doing in the morning!

It’s 11:30 now and it’s crash time! Amazing how different bedtime is when you have lights instead of the dark of a tent. In the morning, I get to do some laundry, then hike 17 miles. On Tuesday I hit New Jersey!
