This is the last of 3 zero days in a row I’ve taken at my home in Sutton, Massachusetts. My friend Rog picked me up Friday afternoon in Dalton, MA and drove me back here and I’ve had a restful time eating a ton, seeing friends and family and tuning up equipment. I’ll be getting back on the trail early tomorrow morning and hiking into Vermont on Wednesday!

At this point, I’ve completed 1550 miles of the trail with 625 still to do. I’m estimating 8/10 as my summit date for Katahdin as long as I stay healthy! Looking forward to getting back on the trail and seeing some friends who have been hiking a few days behind me, especially Rockhound and Hoplite.

My health has been solid. My feet and leg joints ache at times, but I’ve had no major trouble for almost the past 3 months now.

Thanks for all the guestbook entries. I don’t expect to come home again until I complete the trail but look forward to returning to my ‘real’ life with Heather, Tally and everyone else in August…
